Leadership
Leadership in the AVA means the ability to stay the course, no matter, resisting the pull of circumstances and remember it’s not the moment, it’s the mission. Inspiring the civilian community to align and support veterans and their families when returning home.
Service
Service as veterans who serve on the AVA Board, we also swore an oath to protect the constitution of the United States and serve our country, we embrace the saying, “Service Before Self.” Committed to the greater good.
Professionalism
Professionalism as board members we commit to conduct that reflect the highest regard for self and others. Giving 100% to the veterans and the families we serve. Professionalism is the idea of taking the high road and reflecting our highest ideals
Family
Family – a group of people who care about each other. The AVA understands the joy, love and support that comes from being embraced by family. When all else fails, the AVA offers family and friends to carry veterans and their families through the transition from military to civilian life.

Community – an environment where veterans discover shared interest, shared ideals, and Espiri de Corps.
