Raymond Andresen

US MARINE CORPS

Raymond Andresen was born January 11th, 1975, in Woodstock Illinois and grew up in Wonder Lake, IL. He attended and graduated from McHenry High School West campus in 1993. After high school he worked in various construction jobs until joining the Marine Corps in December 1997.

Raymond attended recruit training and Marine combat training in San Diego, California. He was then assigned as an Aviation Ground Support equipment Mechanic attending schools in Pensacola, FL, and North Island, CA before being stationed at MCAS Beaufort, SC.

When stationed he deployed several times overseas to Kosovo, Iraq and the western pacific. He then received orders to recruiting duty in Detroit, Mi and earned several awards including #2 recruiter. After he completed a successful tour, he received order to MCAS Miramar and then to Regional Southwest as a counter IED watch officer and detainee watch commander for 13 months in Camp leatherneck Afghanistan.

After returning Raymond was assigned to MCAS Miramar as the Maintenance supervisor and Staff non-commissioned officer in charge of Ground Support Equipment. He then received orders back to Recruiting at RS Detroit as the recruiting sub station commander. Earning the title recruiting substation of the year.

After another successful tour he was assigned as the squadron Gunnery Sergeant at Marine Corps Air Station New River, NC until his retirement in January 2018. Raymond has 2 children, Samantha, and James. He graduated from Columbia southern university with a degree in business and marketing and is currently part owner of Veterans Vac Services.
