Rick Prescott

US MARINE CORPS

Rick Prescott serves as the Director of Fund Development for the American Veteran Alliance board team.  He served in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years (1974-1980) in the First Tank Battalion, then as an instructor at Motor Vehicle Operators School, Camp Pendleton, California. He received three meritorious promotions and then served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge at the American Embassy, Athens, Greece, on Embassy Duty. 

Rick moved to Canada, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.  He became a police officer with Dartmouth Police and retired.  After returning to the U.S., he worked as an operations Manager in the medical industry and eventually as a compliance officer in the transportation industry until he retired in 2021. 

Currently, Rick serves the veteran community as the Commandant, 2nd District, Department of Illinois Marine Corps League, and is a member of the McHenry County Detachment of the Marine Corps League #1009.
